  Effect of Formulation variables on Microparticles of Repaglinide by Solvent Evaporation Technique.
   

The present work investigated the preparation of microparticles with single type of polymer by solvent evaporation technique; to improve the control release properties of the Repaglinide. Solvent evaporation technique was applied to prepare microparticles using Dichloromethane (DCM) and Ethanol as solvent with Eudragit RS100 as a polymer. In this technique, adding polymer and Drug to the DCM and Ethanol (1:1) solution were maintained viscosity; to study the drug-loading i.e. entrapment and its released characteristics along with size and shape of the particles. The results showed that the maintaining the viscosity and concentration of polymers significantly improved drug-loading, entrapment efficiency and release characteristics by making it sustained forms. This demonstrates that the solvent evaporation technique offers a flexible and easily controllable process.
