The effect of static low frequency magnetic fields on bacterium Streptococcus mutans. It was found that the dynamic growth is governed by an asynchronous growth and uncontinuous increases in bacteria, quantitatively it was unaffected by a weak DC or low-frequency magnetic field = 0.42, 0.48, 0.51, 0.64, and 0.72 hours, for Ho = 0.0, 6.5, 7.8, 11.0 and 13.0 Oe, respectively. Each symbol is an average from 5 independent measurements performed. We found that the number of CFU increases with the time exposure and decreases with the magnitude of the applied field is required for cell division τ, where t is the exposure time and τ we assume that the growth dynamics is governed by bactericidal effect or growth inhibition of some mechanism following the exponential law et/ τ, These results qualitatively agree with studies in other bacteria such as E. coli.
